Kelowna's Gospel Mission

For more than 40 years, Kelowna’s Gospel Mission has been a beacon of hope in the community, providing food, shelter, and compassionate care to those experiencing homelessness or hardship. Their work helps people rebuild their lives through support, connection, and dignity.

A few students from Okanagan Bible School offered coffee and conversation to visitors at the Kelowna City Park. By 1985, those students opened a drop-in centre, then a soup kitchen, an emergency shelter, and a thrift store.

Tug 6 Coffee Roasters is proud to partner with Kelowna’s Gospel Mission to support the incredible impact they make every day. Services

Community Outreach

The Outreach team brings food, clothing, basic health care, and emotional support for those sleeping rough or experiencing episodic homelessness.

Connecting people to services with the goal of building trust – the foundation to bring them into shelter.

Emergency Shelters

Diverse emergency shelter facilities provide a continuum of care that meet people where they are at and move them forward toward their goals.

The Leon Shelter offers 60 emergency beds for men, along with access to showers, laundry, hygiene supplies, and three hot and nutritious meals every day. The Leon Shelter is for those trying to maintain sobriety while living in shelter.

The Bay Ave Community Shelter is a co-ed facility that offers space for meals, washrooms, and case management services.

The Gateway To Wrap-Around Care

When a person comes to the Kelowna Gospel Mission, they provide them:

  • Nutritious meals
  • Access To Showers
  • Personal Care Items
  • Free Haircuts
  • Laundry

Their caseworkers connect people with the opportunities they need to tackle whatever barriers they may face. Walking with them as they walk themselves out of homelessness.

KGm Community Dental

At the dental clinic, they make essential oral health care accessible to all. Dental care brings restoration, freedom from pain, and dignity to those in need.

KGM Community Dental offers dental services in our state-of-the-art facility:

  • Cleanings and general hygiene work
  • Check-upsX-Rays
  • Extractions
  • Fillings
